Part of our core service: Low testosterone and hormone health
Energy and drive.Find out what's behind it.
Part of our core service, low testosterone and hormone health. For flat afternoons, low motivation and running on empty, we start by finding out what is behind it, in your bloods.
Tiredness has many causes. Your bloods narrow it down.
Sound familiar?
Running on empty?
Tap anything that sounds like you. These are the things men tell us most about energy and drive.
What we look at
What your bloods can tell us.
Typical markers when energy is the goal, read alongside your hormone levels. Your doctor decides the final panel from your history and symptoms.
- Thyroid (TSH)Your thyroid sets your pace. A common, checkable cause of feeling flat.
- Iron studiesToo little, or too much, iron can both leave you tired.
- Vitamin B12Needed for energy and nerves. Simple to check, easy to miss.
- Vitamin DEasy to run low on, especially if you work indoors.
- Full blood countRed and white cells, including haematocrit, a key safety marker.
- Testosterone and free testosteroneYour total level, and the share your body can actually use.
- HbA1cYour average blood sugar over roughly the last three months.
- Liver functionA baseline health check, repeated at ongoing reviews.
Your doctor decides the panel. These are typical markers, not a fixed list. Yours may include more or fewer, and reference ranges come from our Australian pathology partners.
How it works
Bloods first. Then a doctor. Then a plan.
The same careful process as every Apex TRT service. Nothing is decided until your bloods are back.

See the full processWhat your plan can include
Care, not a product.
Your doctor builds your plan from your bloods. It may be as simple as a few changes, or it may include medical treatment. It is always your call, with the facts in front of you.
Doctor-led
A plan built on your numbers.
Every option is decided by an AHPRA-registered doctor, from your bloods and your history. Never by an algorithm.
Doctor review
Your results, explained by an AHPRA-registered doctor by phone, with time for your questions.
A personalised plan
Built from your results and your goal. Not a template, and not a sales pitch.
Sleep, stress and nutrition
Practical guidance on the everyday things that drain energy, where that is what your results point to.
Treatment, only if it's right
If your doctor decides treatment is clinically appropriate, your eScript goes to your phone. If your results are in range, you will not be prescribed treatment.
Repeat bloods and reviews
Regular check-ins against your numbers, so your plan changes when they do.
Your portal and care team
Every result in your Apex TRT portal, and your care team a message away.

Energy and drive
Good questions.
Still unsure? Book a free call and ask us directly.
Is low energy always hormonal?
No. Tiredness has many possible causes, from sleep and stress to iron, thyroid or blood sugar. That is why we test broadly before anything is recommended.
How does this connect to hormone health?
Energy and drive is part of our core service, low testosterone and hormone health. Your doctor checks your hormone levels alongside other common causes of feeling flat, such as thyroid, iron and blood sugar.
What if my results are in range?
You will not be prescribed treatment. Your doctor walks you through your results and the everyday things worth looking at, like sleep, workload and training, and whether a chat with your GP makes sense.
Will I need medication?
Not necessarily. Your doctor recommends what is clinically right for you. That may be lifestyle, sleep and nutrition guidance, further tests or a referral, and only sometimes medical treatment.
