Injury repair and recovery. For how hard you go.

Doctor-led care for injuries that are slow to settle and recovery that lags behind your training. It starts with your history and your bloods, and a plan only if it is clinically right for you.

What we look at

What your bloods can tell us.

Typical markers for injury repair and recovery. Your doctor decides the final panel from your history, training and symptoms.

  • Full blood countRed and white cells, including haematocrit, a key safety marker.
  • CRPA general marker of inflammation in the body, read alongside your history.
  • Where relevantCK (creatine kinase)Where relevantA muscle enzyme that can rise with heavy training or muscle strain.
  • Vitamin DEasy to run low on, especially if you work indoors.
  • Iron studiesToo little, or too much, iron can both leave you tired.
  • Testosterone and free testosteroneYour total level, and the share your body can actually use.
  • Thyroid (TSH)Your thyroid sets your pace. A common, checkable cause of feeling flat.
  • Kidney functionA baseline check of how well your kidneys are filtering, repeated at reviews.
  • Liver functionA baseline health check, repeated at ongoing reviews.
  • HbA1cYour average blood sugar over roughly the last three months.

Your doctor decides the panel. These are typical markers, not a fixed list. Yours may include more or fewer, and reference ranges come from our Australian pathology partners.

How it works

Bloods first. Then a doctor. Then a plan.

The same careful process as every Apex TRT service. Nothing is decided until your bloods are back.

  1. Bloods first

A short questionnaire, then two blood tests at a collection centre near you: a full panel, then a follow-up.

    Collection centre near you
  2. A doctor reviews them

An AHPRA-registered doctor reads your results and talks them through with you, in plain English.

    By phone
  3. A plan, if it's right for you

Lifestyle, sleep, nutrition and training guidance, further tests, a referral, or medical treatment where clinically appropriate.

    Only if clinically right
  4. Reviews and repeat bloods

Regular reviews and repeat bloods keep your plan honest, with your care team a message away.

    Ongoing

Treatment only if it's right. If treatment is not clinically appropriate for you, you will not be prescribed it, and your doctor explains why.

What your plan can include

Care, not a product.

Your doctor builds your plan from your history, your training and your bloods. It may be changes to load and rest, a referral, or treatment where it is clinically appropriate. It is always your call, with the facts in front of you.

A plan built on your numbers.

Every option is decided by an AHPRA-registered doctor, from your bloods and your history. Never by an algorithm.

  • Doctor review

Your results, explained by an AHPRA-registered doctor by phone, with time for your questions.

  • A personalised plan

Built from your results and your goal. Not a template, and not a sales pitch.

  • Load, rest and rehab

Guidance on training load, sleep and rest, and a referral to a physio or sports doctor where that is the right call.

  • Treatment, only if it's right

If your doctor decides treatment is clinically appropriate, your eScript goes to your phone. If it is not, you will not be prescribed it, and your doctor explains why.

  • Reviews as you recover

Regular check-ins on how you are tracking, so your plan changes when you do.

  • Your portal and care team

Every result in your Apex TRT portal, and your care team a message away.

Injury repair and recovery

Good questions.

What does injury repair and recovery cover?

Doctor-led care for injuries that are slow to settle, and for recovery that lags behind your training or a physical job. Your doctor looks at your history, your training and your bloods, then recommends what is right for you.

Can you help with a new or serious injury?

We are not an emergency or physio service. For a new or serious injury, see your GP, a physio or an emergency department first. If a referral is the right call, your Apex TRT doctor will say so.

Will I be prescribed something?

Only if your doctor decides treatment is clinically appropriate for you. Many plans focus on load, rest, sleep and a referral to the right practitioner. If treatment is not appropriate, you will not be prescribed it, and your doctor explains why.

Is this only for athletes?

No. It is for anyone whose body is slower to recover than it used to be, whether that is from training, a physical job or just life.
