What we look at
What your bloods can tell us.
Typical markers for sexual health. Your doctor decides the final panel from your age, history and symptoms.
- Testosterone and free testosteroneYour total level, and the share your body can actually use.
- SHBGThe carrier protein that decides how much testosterone is free to use.
- OestradiolRead alongside testosterone to see the whole hormone balance.
- LH and FSHSignals from the brain that show where a hormone change might start.
- Where relevantProlactinWhere relevantA hormone that, when raised, can affect drive.
- HbA1cYour average blood sugar over roughly the last three months.
- LipidsCholesterol and triglycerides: part of your heart health picture.
- Thyroid (TSH)Your thyroid sets your pace. A common, checkable cause of feeling flat.
- Where relevantPSAWhere relevantA prostate marker, checked where relevant for your age and history.
Your doctor decides the panel. These are typical markers, not a fixed list. Yours may include more or fewer, and reference ranges come from our Australian pathology partners.
How it works
Bloods first. Then a doctor. Then a plan.
The same careful process as every Apex TRT service. Nothing is decided until your bloods are back.
-
01
Bloods first
A short questionnaire, then two blood tests at a collection centre near you: a full panel, then a follow-up.

Only if clinically right -

Reviews and repeat bloods
Regular reviews and repeat bloods keep your plan honest, with your care team a message away.
Ongoing

See the full processWhat your plan can include
Care, not a product.
Your doctor builds your plan from your bloods. It may be as simple as a few changes, or it may include medical treatment. It is always your call, with the facts in front of you.
Doctor-led
A plan built on your numbers.
Every option is decided by an AHPRA-registered doctor, from your bloods and your history. Never by an algorithm.
Doctor review
Your results, explained by an AHPRA-registered doctor by phone, with time for your questions.
A personalised plan
Built from your results and your goal. Not a template, and not a sales pitch.
Whole-health guidance
Sleep, stress, fitness and heart health can all play a part, so your doctor looks at the whole picture.
Treatment, only if it's right
If your doctor decides treatment is clinically appropriate, your eScript goes to your phone. If it is not, you will not be prescribed it, and your doctor explains why.
Repeat bloods and reviews
Regular check-ins against your numbers, so your plan changes when they do.
Your portal and care team
Every result in your Apex TRT portal, and your care team a message away.

Sexual health
Good questions.
Still unsure? Book a free call and ask us directly.
Is it private?
Yes. Your consultation is one on one with your doctor, by phone, and your results sit in your secure portal.
Do I have to talk about it straight away?
Only what you are comfortable with. The questionnaire lets you say it privately first, so your doctor already knows before you speak.
Could it be something else?
It can. Drive and performance can be affected by sleep, stress, relationships, blood sugar and heart health, among other things. That is why we look broadly, and your doctor may suggest seeing your GP too.
Will I be prescribed something?
Only if your doctor decides treatment is clinically appropriate for you. Your plan may also include whole-health changes, further tests or a referral, and your doctor explains the options with you.
