Here's How It Works Already receiving testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) through another clinic and thinking about switching to Apex TRT? Switching is straightforward. We'll review your current treatment, blood results and how you're feeling to help make the transition as smooth as possible. Our goal is to make sure you receive the right care without unnecessary interruptions to your treatment. ## What do I need to switch to Apex TRT? If you're already receiving TRT through another clinic, we just need a few things to get started. **1. Details of your current treatment** A copy of your current prescription or written confirmation of your treatment from your existing clinic. A photo or PDF is fine. **2. Your most recent blood test results** Ideally, these should be from within the last three months while you've been on treatment. If you also have your original blood test results from before starting TRT, showing your testosterone levels at the time, these are helpful too. ### Don't have recent blood tests? No problem. If your results are outdated or missing important markers, we can arrange updated blood tests at no additional cost. If you don't have copies of your current prescription or previous blood results, you can request them from your current clinic or pathology provider. ## What happens during my doctor consultation? Before your consultation, an Apex TRT doctor will review your medical history, current treatment and blood test results. During your phone consultation, your doctor will discuss how you're feeling, whether your symptoms have improved and how well your current treatment is working for you. They'll also look at your testosterone levels and other important health markers to make sure your treatment is appropriate and safe. ## Will I need to change my current treatment? Not necessarily. If your current treatment is working well and your blood results look good, your doctor may recommend continuing with your existing plan. If you're still experiencing symptoms or your blood results suggest your treatment could be improved, your doctor will discuss the available options with you. Any recommended changes will be explained before moving forward, so you understand your treatment plan. ## How do I switch without interrupting my treatment? We understand that running out of medication while changing clinics is a common concern. The best way to avoid this is to start the switching process before your current supply runs out. Here's what we recommend: - **Start early.** Contact Apex TRT while you still have medication available. This gives us time to review your information and arrange your consultation. - **Tell us how much medication you have left.** This helps us plan your appointment around your remaining supply. - **Keep your current arrangements in place.** Don't cancel anything with your existing clinic until your Apex TRT doctor has reviewed and confirmed your new treatment plan. Once your doctor has approved your treatment, your electronic prescription can be sent directly to your phone. You can fill your prescription at any Australian pharmacy, including the pharmacy you already use. Apex TRT doesn't add a markup to your medication. ## What happens after I switch to Apex TRT? Once you've switched, you'll receive the same ongoing care and support as other Apex TRT patients. Your treatment is regularly reviewed based on your symptoms, blood test results and overall health. Your ongoing care includes: - Regular doctor consultations and treatment reviews - Ongoing blood tests to monitor your health and hormone levels - Access to our nursing and patient support team - Electronic prescriptions for approved treatment - Access to your blood test results and treatment information Your blood test results are kept on file, and you can ask us for a copy whenever you need.
